Shop floor control work order systems must provide flexibility, ease-of-use, and discrete or job level cost tracking. Vanguard’s Shop Floor Control: Discrete (SFC:D) application makes it easy to create and manage shop work orders -for production, for machine or other maintenance activities, for rework, for construction, for the manufacture of prototypes - you define the work order types and use SFC:D to provide the control, scheduling, reporting and costing.
SFC:D allows you to report production activity, and provides the information required to manage the people and processes of manufacturing. SFC:D is integrated with SFC:R - so you can use work orders to control some items, or use work orders only for prototype construction - and view a single shop schedule. SFC:D production reporting can utilize data collection systems, RF barcode systems, or on-line entry.
All of the critical production data you need is easily recorded, including good production, scrap (with reason codes), rework (with ticket number), labor (employee or team reporting with optional timecard feed to Payroll) time and costs, machine time, setup time (and labor), and component usage (backflush or actual). Projects can be established to track project costs, with multiple work orders issued against a project.
